Ulises Tug Boat 1:30 Scale R/C Compatible

Extended Description

Occre Ulises The Ulises model was an ocean-going tug. During the sixties, maritime traffic was very intense, the coming and going of goods crossing seas and oceans around the world was constant. This activity was not without its risks; therefore the work of ocean-going tugs was vitally important, helping all those vessels that suffered mishaps. At that time, metal was the basic material used to construct the boats, combined with a certain percentage of wood. Builders took advantage of the strength of steel for the hull and the comfort of wood for the crew areas, which meant that they turned out models of singular beauty despite the fact that the boats were designed as working boats.
The Ulises features plank on frame construction with laser-cut wooden parts. Lime wood strips and thin African walnut for deck and pilot house planking. Windows, portholes, winch, lights and other detail parts are cleanly cast metal. Kit also contains brass nails and eyebolts, rigging line and rubber tyres for fenders. Running hardware with propeller is also included. Detailed parts list and illustrated instructions

HISTORY OF KING OF THE MISSISSIPPI
Discover King of the Mississippi and its renewed steamboat wooden model kit. The real steamer was entirely made of wood and equipped with boilers to move their iconic wheelpales, these ships were the solution to transport passengers and merchandise along the river well into the XX Century.
Steamboats played an important role in the development of the Mississippi River basin and its tributaries allowing a convenient transportation in both directions of the river. They helped to reduce the immensity of America and as 'theater boats' reduced the solitude of this immensity. America is not just modernism: it's also romance and dreams! Dream and fall in love now with this unique model that will beautify any of the rooms at home!
